Welcome to my simple, personal spot on The Dark Network. I am an Administrator here, as well as a member just like everyone else. My real name is, Heidi- and I don't mind it being used. I'm here to help you, but to also enjoy my own membership. I appreciate getting to know new people who can engage me. People that interest me have a respect for language and their own written words. Along with that I am intrigued by those who are passionate in learning all they can about the things they love. I try to get on my webcam as often as I can here, that way people can really 'get' who I am. You can learn more about me by following my journal- and/or checking out my Member Pages. To the left there, that's me at the radio station in the mid-nineties. I was a DJ. ☊

My personal adorations lie in:
Theology- I am Episcopalian/Anglican, Protestant, yet Catholic." A progressive Anglo-Catholic, of the open-armed persuasion, with a Preterist view.
I adore classic literature and ancient accounts of life. I initially joined with hopes of being considered as one of the well-known writers here, but that never came to pass. Although I write a lot in my journal (if you've any interest in knowing me- that's where it's going to happen), I rarely share any of my personal work here. It happens from time to time, just not often. But, again, I am contibuting quite a bit to the Member Pages here. Khalil Gibran, Walt Whitman, Langston Hughes, and W. B. Yeats- are some of the writers I love. But I am also quick to marvel in the works of Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss.
A Clear Midnight THIS is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes thou lovest best.
Night, sleep, and the stars.
---Walt Whitman
I am passionate about tradition, holidays, ritual, pomp and circumstance, smells and bells, and all ancient things kept sacred.
I came here, because I dig the legendary, mythological vampire. I'm a fictional vampire enthusiast. I've been a fan as long as I can remember. Dracula, Anne Rice, White Wolf, Twilight, Moonlight, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, you name it- I'm in. We can thank a 'Kindred: The Embraced' fansite for linking to Vampire Rave, and leading me here :) It's a very rare occasion that I don't like a vampire depiction in film or literature. I like them all because I respect a writer's freedom and I love hearing new ideas and creative renditions. Writers need not have boundaries, and when you're talkin' vampires... they shouldn't allow anyone to put limits on their imagination. Vampires after all and above all, parallel very real humanity- and humans are... always surprising.
My life so far has been rich and full. I've been blessed and continue to be.
